Biu Jee (標指) — meaning “Thrusting Fingers” or “Darting Fingers” — is the third and most advanced empty-hand form in the traditional Wing Chun system. It is considered the emergency or recovery form, reserved for situations where structure has been broken or the practitioner is at a disadvantage.
“Biu (標 )= thrust, dart; “Jee” (指 ) = finger; The movements in the form symbolizes directed energy, precision strikes, and last-resort techniques. It emphasizes short-range explosive power, recovering structure, and counter-attacking from a disadvantage position.
Biu Jee trains emergency techniques for regaining control when the centerline is lost and develops advanced short-range inch power.
With regular practise, the form enhances ability to generate force from tight, compact positions. It introduces off-centerline attacks and angled strikes and focuses on speed, flexibility, and precision under stress. Unlike the linear focus of the first two forms, Biu Jee uses arcs and curves for redirection and recovery.
